GRIPLOC started his music journey at an early age of 5 playing piano and clarinet at the age of 14. His love for hip hop grew at the age of 12 listening to artists like Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre. Terry Downey aka GRIPLOC started rapping at the age of 16 on the streets of Vancouver BC and was in a group called NWD(North West Diciplez) with artists X Calibur, Ka$p(KA$P Entertainment),and Bobby Brillo(TOS) in 1997. In 2001 GRIPLOC began recording his own music in his house with little recording experience and gear and is presently now recording rock bands, rap artists heavy metal groups etc... in 2010. GRIPLOC went to school in 2008 to study audio engineering and music production at OUC in Kelowna BC and graduated with an A average from instructor Bob Gabelhouse owner of Big Audio Productions in Kelowna BC. GRIPLOC also is an audio engineer for TAO Entertainment for CEO Tiflow (former T.I.T.A.N.S. member) GRIPLOC is not just a producer and engineer or a rap artist, but he also composes his own instrumentals and has great people skills and is versatile in recording situations.
