New to Heatseekers today is an artist who goes by Gregory Goldwire. After a few years spent in the Baltimore scene, he now operates out of South Florida, where he grew up. With today's entry, "Making Memories (Part 1)," Goldwire tells us his story and approach to the game all in under four minutes.
He remembers back to an early age, when his dad left him, his mother, and his baby brother, and they were forced to move from his birthplace of Virginia to South Florida. The rest of the track is about how he was able to adapt to the lifestyle in South Florida and eventually establish a presence in the region's fiercely competitive rap scene. Some of the memories that Goldwire recounts are painful ones, but through highs and lows, he has focused on staying true to himself, which has gotten him to where he is today.
