Great Gran Daddy
Early life Born in Saint Mary's Hospital, Great Grand Daddy (GGD) grew up in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn. On the morning of his birth his mother Terrill Harvey checked into the hospital for a stomach pain only to find out she was pregnant and needed to deliver Born 5 months premature he barely made it out alive being so fragile. Was said to had turned died twice with in the first few hours of life. Beiing transfer to St. Vincent Hospital for better care he under went several serious operarions in order to preserve his life. Surviving that he became one of two children of Terrill Harvey, and Derrick Ransom who were both under the age of twenty at this birth. At age 8 him along with several of his classmates won a school competion that earned them a feature on an MTV program. A year follow his father was killed in a family dispute, leaving his mother to work two raise him and his sister alone canceling any ideas to put him in commericals. In the New York City Public school system, he excelled in his academic studies where he received awards as an English student for his poetic work. Taking the absence of his father difficult he began to stray away from his studies into the ills of the crime filled enviornment of the times. Seeing this downward spiral of anger, violence and disobedience his mother would often send him to church where he began to minister at age 12. Attending Services helped momentarily but it became and on and off delight for him. As a teenager he attended Grover Cleveland High School in Ridgewood Queens. GGD remained an average roughly average student, spending most of his time sharping his poetry craft than focusing on his studies. Getting Baptised at 15 helped simmer down the negative influence that he continued to embelish in. At 19 he graduated High School and attended New York City Tech only to drop out after one half of a semster. Struggling once again with life and death his found himself again fighting to live. Rapping career Grear Grand Daddy (GGD) began rapping when he was a teenager. He entertained people at school and religious settings with his lyrics as well as perform with a group of artist, under the name New York Demolition whom he met while attending St. Mary's Spritual Church. He used the name Tah G meaning Tah Gospel attempting to hold fast to his spirirtual convictions. He recorded several records with them but when things didn't pick up as he hoped he became frustrated and parted ways with the group. Now solo and in charge of his own career he released a Mix tape "Not 2 Be Confused with the fashion" in 2005 under the alias Luey Vuton which landed him on a Local New York City Radio Station. Things began to look up but realizing the up and down pattern opposition wasn't that far away. In 2006 while on his way to pick up music from local producer when he was viciously attacked in broad daylight by a group of thugs for his material possessions. Realizing the foul ways of his life and rhymes catching up to him, he decided to take a break from a budding career giving birth to Great Grand Daddy. In Feb 2010 he opened up at The Tenth National Black Writers Convention for Renowned poets Stacey Ann Chin and Willie Perdomoas. Then later featured on several Cable Access program "Versified Fire" with writer Bob McNeil performing Motives. Now releasing his own solo material under the smile arousing name 'Great Grand Daddy" with New Mix tape "Oh No He Didn't Just say That Shit" which features Tracks Like ""Pastor LoveMoney" "The Roaches "We Know You Nasty" Which highlights the "Ubran Sexual" experience gone wrong and "Don't Call Me a Bitch" To Be continued
