Watch Goldlink's freestyle and profile video for the XXL Freshman cover.

This week, XXL's been rolling out the freestyle and profile videos for all of their new Freshman class. So far, we've seen the ones from Fetty Wap, DeJ LoafVince Staples and Raury, and now here's Washington DC's Goldlink.

Taking a political edge in his freestyle, as Raury did with his, Goldlink justifies wanting to be a god, says "it's about humanity, not color," and promises that "the generational curse will be broken." In his profile, he speaks about growing up listening to go-go, the currently "booming" DC rap scene, and the mix of electronic and rap that's present in his music.
