Giannis Antetokounmpo sat down with The Athletic to discuss his player development in year 7, and a host other issues concerning his competitive nature and how it impacts the game. If you need any further evidence, check out his reaction to getting dumped on by New York Knicks' swingman Mario Hezonja the other night.

In fact, Giannis is competitive to the point where he's adopted an adversarial relationship with other NBA players - meaning no workouts in the offseason, no sportsmanlike butt-taps, and definitely no semblance of camaraderie, even at the risk of burning those all-important "recruitment" bridges. "I can't work out with you in the summer and then play you in a few months," Antetokounmpo told The Athletic. "It feels weird. It doesn't feel right with me. Like other players, it's cool for other players, but I don't. I don't want to. Other guys do it."

Giannis also stated that he believes Kevin Durant took notes on LeBron James when the two worked out in the summer, a risk he is thereby no willing to take himself. "I feel like with LeBron and KD, KD did that to LeBron," Antetokounmpo said. "Take a lot of his thoughts and use it against him. And that's what I don't want guys doing to me."
