From the onset of his career, Game has always voiced his displeasure with fellow rappers.   In years past he had beef with one of the most legendary emcees of all time, Jay-Z, and looking back on the situation the Cali rapper feels blessed that Jigga didn’t come back hard at him and potentially end his career.   Overall, the Compton native does feel there’s a level of mutual respect between him and the Roc Nation guru.

Sitting down with Vibe.com, the Jesus Piece rapper recalls firing shots at Jay-Z, and says his then girlfriend had warned him against it, and vocally told him that Jay could put an end to his career if he was not careful.  “I’m probably one of the only cats that ever went straight at Jay-Z’s neck and still had a career after which was risky,” Jayceon reflects, “I remember even fighting…with the mother of my children cause she was a Jay-Z fan. She was like, ‘You don’t know what you’re doing. He’s gonna come back and we’re not gonna be able to survive.’”

Game recognizes that he can be hot-tempered, and feels that Jay-Z realized this, and did not feel a need to fire a diss track back.   After it was all said and done, the West Coast spitter feels there is a level of mutual respect between the two, “Jay never responded.  Number one, he is smart and I think that he knows that I’m reckless and there’s nothing that I can’t say. But he has to be filtered because he’s more of a businessman and older,” Game goes onto add, “I think in his own right respects me as a lyricist. He doesn’t have to do a song with me, but I know that he listens.”

Expect to hear more from Game as he makes his rounds promoting his upcoming album Jesus Piece, dropping December 11th.
