Game's mixtape cut with Dr. Dre & Jay Z, "Get Your Money Right."

For today's Throwback Thursday record we've opted to go with Game. The West Coast rapper has always been prolific when it comes to the mixtape game, starting in 2002 with his debut tape You Know What It Is, Vol. 1, all the way up to present day. While most rappers who've been doing this as long as Game eventually stop releasing free projects for the fans, Game has never quit. He dropped his OKE mixtape this past October, and the year before he hit us with California Republic.

While the rapper is currently in between labels, we hope he chooses a new home soon and starts giving us new music.

This particular record can be found on Westside Story: The Compton Chronicleswhich dropped in 2004 (that's ten years ago!) and was used to promote Game's debut album, the now-critically acclaimed The Documentary. Download the tape here if you feel like going back for a minute.

Quotable Lyrics

"See me in the lowrider - nigga's try to mug me / Then I hop out - nigga's try to dap me and hug me / See me in my red converse - nigga's wanna cuss me / But bloods be the reason these street nigga's love me / The same reason your bitch wanna suck me / You nigga's ain't artists you just paint pictures of me" -Game
