The flood has begun. Just after the blissfully sedative "Guap on Me" made its way online, more Super Future waves have come in the form of a song called "Paparazzi." It's thought that this one is produced by Mike Will Made-It, as a snippet of the track was played at the end of the year-old video to "Drinks on Us," which starred Mike Will, Future, and Swae Lee. Indeed, "Paparazzi" would sound right at home on Ape Sh!t

Like "Guap on Me," Future channels an especially slow, murky groove on "Paparazzi." Though this is Future at his most menacing, paranoid about all the flashing lights around him, yet still able to find his way into the darkness. He's not even so much rapping here as he is rattling off improvised turns of phrase, each one pulsing with savage energy. And we thought the dab had gone out of style...

UPDATE: Well, maybe it has gone out of style. Future has been made aware of the "Paparazzi" leak and has expressed his disgust at hearing himself say "dab" on the chorus. He confirms that the song was a reference track that he recorded about a year ago. For whom, I wonder...

In any case, "Paparazzi" is not indicative of the current wave that Future's on this summer. I still say that his reference tracks are better than most everything else that's out there. Even though he's denied ownership of the track, will it still get a spot in the summer rotation? See Future's tweets in response to "Paparazzi" below.

Quotable Lyrics

Fell asleep in the bitch on a xan
Fell asleep in her pussy on a xan
Fell asleep in her pussy on a xan
Fell asleep in her pussy on a Perc
I fell asleep in her pussy on a pain pill
