Future, on his absence from the BET Awards: "I'm not about to sell my soul for no publicity stunts."

During his Monday performance at an L.A. club called Supper Club, Future explained his absence from the BET Awards stage the night before.

The Shade Room documented his explanation in a pair of videos on their Instagram account. Here's what Future had to say:

"You see what happened... BET, they had a nigga about to perform up there or whatever, but under the circumstances of me performing. I can't fuck with that shit, you know what I'm saying, because they tried to get a nigga to do some off-brand corny shit.

"I'm not about to sell my soul for no publicity stunts."
