Welp, French Montana's MC4 continues to become the stuff of hip-hop album myths. It seemed like everything was on track, the New York native dropped the radio-bait single "No Shopping" with Drake and powered through with an official music video, he even revealed the tracklist for MC4 and followed that up with the A$AP Rocky-featured "Said N Done."
Alas, today he's taken to twitter to reveal the album will not dropped as planned on August 19th. French doesn't share a new release date, but apologizes to fans about the delay. He cites sample clearance issues as the reason behind the delay, writing, "Due to some sample clearances that are still being worked out, I have to move the album release date."
We'll keep you posted when a new release date for MC4 has been confirmed. iTunes currently lists August 19th as the release still.
