Soon after sharing the trailer to his upcoming "Free Will" documentary, Philly rapper Freeway is back with a new single, "First Things First," off his upcoming album that's also entitled Free Will. "First Things First" is produced by Girl Talk, the former mash-up king who has produced frequently for Freeway in the past.

Freeway is putting on for his friend, The late Jacka. After dropping one tribute track for The Jacka with Philthy Rich and Paul Wall called “King Jack” yesterday, the Philadelphia emcee is honoring The Jacka again.

Yesterday marked the one-year anniversary of the murder of Bay Area rap legend The Jacka. Oakland rapper Philthy Rich immortalized The Jacka by getting "King Jack" inked on his back; now, he invites Paul Wall and Freeway to help him commemorate The Jacka's passing with his new single, "King Jack." Produced by AK47, "King Jack" will appear on Rich's fifth studio album Real N*ggas Back In $tyle, due out February 26th.
Based on his musical output, Freeway appears to be doing much better after being diagnosed with kidney failure in September. After dropping an emotional track called "Heaven" two weeks ago, the Philly Freezer returns with "Wasted," the second track he's released since his diagnosis.
In September, Philly veteran Freeway was diagnosed with a kidney disease. While it is unclear whether or not he is completely cured of the illness, he is certainly doing much better. Now he drops "Heaven," his first release since his medical problems arose.

Famed Harlem producer Dame Grease has joined with L.A.'s DJ King Assassin for a big-time collab featuring Sheek Louch, Freeway, and Pusha T. Since the late '90s, Grease has worked with many of the East Coast's best, so he knows just what to do with the lineup at hand. It's a grimy, early '00s-sounding street record with heavy lyrical artillery from the three veteran spitters.

The somewhat surprising pairing of Freeway and Girl Talk resulted in the recent EP Broken Ankles, which dropped at the beginning of April. The collaborative EP contained six tracks, with features from Young Chris, Waka Flocka and Jadakiss. Girl Talk, the Swedish producer who can use upwards of hundreds of samples to create entirely new songs, and the rapper Freeway have joined forces for a collaborative EP which will be called Broken Ankles.
Freeway, Peedi Crakk and Beanie Sigel have come together as State Property to release the first record we've heard from them in quite some time-- and it goes hard. Despite Beanie being locked up, producer Mike Jerz was able to put him in the hook thanks to a sample from a studio session. The track was first premiered by Sway In The Morning last week, but Pigeons & Planes have unearthed the CDQ for the internets to enjoy.
