Forbes provides you with a look at who the top five hip-hop moguls are, and how much money they're making in 2014.
Once again, Forbes comes through with that information we're all dying to know: just how rich are these hip-hop industry moguls? Names you might expect top the five-spot list, including Diddy, Jay Z and 50 Cent.
The "Forbes Five" gives us the five wealthiest men in the rap industry with break downs of where they're getting their profit from. Last year's 2013 list saw Diddy holding down the #1 spot as the wealthiest dude in the rap game, just like he did in 2012 AND 2011. So who's got the #1 spot on the 2014 "Forbes Five" list? You probably guessed it-- Puff Daddy. See a breakdown of the list below.
Diddy comes in at #1 with $700 million to his name, most of his money coming in from the highly successful Ciroc vodka. In addition to Ciroc, he gets cash from his Bad Boy record label, and his newly-launched Revolt TV network in which he has a majority stake that could one day turn him into hip-hop's first billionaire, according to Forbes.
Dr. Dre comes in at #2 making $550 million. The producer and sometimes rapper success is mainly credited to his Beats By Dre headphones line, co-founded with Jimmy Iovine.
Jay Z holds the #3 spot down on Forbes' list, with $520 million to his name. Hov's new ventures from the past year are where the bulk of his cash is coming from, ventures such as Roc Nation Sports.
Cash Money co-founder Birdman is at #4 with $160 million behind him. According to Forbes' Baby's fortune would almost be at $300 million if he didn't share it with his brother Slim.
Finally, 50 Cent rounds out the top 5 list with $140 million. 50's fortune is in part due to the $100 million sale of VitaminWater in 2008, although he continues to pursue business ventures with SMS Audio and Street King energy drink.
