Fresh off the release Good Gas, which featured the 2 Chainz and A$AP Ferg collaboration "How I Feel", Stoney executive producer FKi is ready to stake his claim. The producer has already collaborated with some heavy hitters, including recent "Psycho" Post Malone, MadeinTYO and more. We recently had the honor of sitting down for a meeting of the minds, picking his brain for studio anecdotes and insight into his creative process. Revealing a an ambition to make Good Gas a more frequent tradition, FKi 1st is looking to drop "the most fire songs" every three to four months."

Citing some influences like Jay-Z, Gucci Mane, and George Clinton, FKi pinpoints a common uniting thread. "When they made music they didn't give a fuck," says FKi. "I try to put myself in their shoes." He also details collaborating with Post Malone, who has been proving to be one of hip-hop's most commercially successful artists. He makes sure to make a key distinction between the realms of hip-hop and pop production, claiming that the latter is in dire need of some sauce. In fact, the pursuit of sauce has led to hip-hop influence bleeding into modern pop music. Wise words. Be sure to check the entire video below, and don't sleep on that Good Gas.
