F-Jay, Born 1st September 1991, is a solo artist hailing from the South East of London. Although music was always his second dream, after football, music somehow found its way to the top of his mind. At just 12, he wrote lyrics and recorded songs with a few friends.
He then started up a group called Vocal Siblinz which consisted of two Mc’s, one producer and one Graphic Designer. Based on positive music, they were able to capture a lot of fans in the area, and created a buzz for themselves. After winning an award at the Origin8 competition with the likes of Kano on the judge panel, they then went on to perform at kindred Spirit and Creamfields (Liverpool) to name a few.
In 2008, F-Jay was the last MC standing in the team. Due to let downs in his aim to pursue his dream, F-Jay became an all round artist. As well as writing his own lyrics, he began to produce his own songs. He produced half of the tracks on his free debut EP ‘Ring the Alarm’ and also produced ‘Dance All Night’, the 1st Single taken from ‘The Entrance' Album.
F-Jay is no doubtedly tipped to become the next best thing out of the UK. What genre of music does he do? ''I began with grime, but I see grime as a stem of a tree. You start underground (roots), and then u grow. But you can either stay on da stem or branch off into a different category. But if you branch off into a different genre, you will ALWAYS have the elements of grime''.
In late 2009, F-Jay was approached by a new independent Record Label, and on the 1st January 2010, he became the first artist to sign with C.I.C Records
