Since dropping off his project at the end of March, I'm A Piece of Shit, Awful Records' head honcho Father has remained pretty lowkey. The only time we've seen him pop up since then was two days later, when he released a music video for "Slide Thru." Over the weekend he came out from hiding with the release of some new awkward musical stylings by way of, "Heartthrob," produced by meltycanon.
Meltycanon's whimsical production centers around a elementary-like noises, as if someone is constantly cranking a jack-in-the-box, bouncing alongside some electronic beeping, all of which pairs well with Father's conversational flow. We're definitely ready for some new music from Father.
