Maybach Music-signee Fat Trel is not usually one to show his soft side, but for Mother's Day he opens up on "Dear Momma," and the results are surprisingly touching.
In "Dear Momma" the DMV rapper pens a letter to his mother, letting her know he remembers how hard she worked to make ends meet when he was growing up, that he is forever indebted to her as he continues to try and make it as a rapper.
Also, J. Beale's background croon game is on point.
Last week Trel dropped freestyles on such relevant beats as Kanye West's "All Day" and Nicki Minaj's "Truffle Butter," he vows to tackle Beyoncé’s "7/11" and Drake’s "Energy" this upcoming week. His mixtape Georgetown is due date TBD in 2015.
I can remember my momma counting on them counterfeits
And getting cheese and other shit that she needed from the government
They tried to tell me momma ain't a soldier
Tried to work her to death, she stressin' make her upset, she gonna collect checks when it's all over
