Faith Evans was arrested and taken into police custody earlier this week on domestic violence charges after she allegedly attacked her husband, Stevie J, during a heated argument. According to TMZofficers responded to a call about an intense dispute taking place at Faith and Stevie's home in L.A., although it is still not known what triggered the argument. Upon arrival, cops noticed that Stevie had visible marks and scratches all over his face. Faith was then arrested for felony domestic violence at around 1:00am. She was released on bond later that day.

It's no secret that the couple have been having trouble in their marriage for awhile now. Late last year, Stevie posted a series of cryptic tweets seemingly directed at Faith that implied she might have cheated. "Found of that NO woman is faithful. Knew that & it’s a blessing to know," he tweeted, followed by, "Wanna show the world what being a stand up guy will get you" and "Trust no b*tch." However, he later shut down any rumours surrounding their relationship, revealing that his social media had been "hacked" and insisting that "my wife is the love of my life & my best friend." Earlier that year, rumours circulated that the couple had split due to yet another batch of cryptic tweets from Stevie, followed by a tense appearance at the Essence Festival in New Orleans.
