NFL on Fox reporter Erin Andrews has revealed that she battled cervical cancer throughout the NFL season, which required multiple surgeries, but she never missed a game.

Speaking with MMQB, Andrews said that she was diagnosed back in September but informed her doctors that she was determined not to miss any game time due to her condition.

She missed two tapings of "Dancing With The Stars" before her first surgery in October but she was on a flight to Green Bay two days later to cover a story about Jordy Nelson.

In the extensive interview, which you can read in full here, she says sports were her escape even though her doctors didn't necessarily agree with her rigorous work schedule.

“Should I have been standing for a full game five days after surgery? Let’s just say the doctor didn’t recommend that,” Andrews told MMQB ... noting, "sports were my escape."

And the good news is, Andrews says she is now cancer-free and will be working the sidelines at Super Bowl LI on February 5th.
