Since we first started hearing his beats in the early 2010s, Eric Dingus has cultivated a very specific, almost instantly recognizable sound. From his solo instrumentals to his work on Drake's "Now & Forever," the Texas native almost always produces reverby, futuristic visions of his state's chopped n screwed sound-- hell, he even made Drizzy's hardest single to date sound sludgy and serene with a remix. He's no one-trick pony, though.
His latest cut, "Ice 1," brings us a much different sound. Something like an icy version of a DJ Mustard beat meeting a minimal hardstyle track head-on, this one bangs with ferocity we've rarely heard from Dingus. There's no telling what he'll do next.
