Eminem is about ready to enter the realm of Virtual Reality - in fact, he already has. As of yesterday, the "Marshall From Detroit" VR experience was unveiled at the Sundance Film Festival.

Em spoke with Sway about his intentions for the project, leading the rapper and moderator down an ingenious path of retrospection. For the record, Sway is just the avenue Eminem would seek under these circumstances - they've known each for years.

"I know that that captured a moment," Eminem tells Sway at the 7-minute mark of their conversation. "It's kind of like a time capsule, when I look back at it. The times that it was back then and the turmoil in my life that was happening."

After admitting the "Marshall Mathers LP" was the perfect marriage of ideas both musical and personally-affected, Eminem spent the next few minutes of the interview outlining the difficult times he incurred trying to re-create the magic of his magnum opus.

"I had a lot of rage," he added. "When people say they miss the old Eminem, I feel like it's probably that. You miss the rage. I don't have the rage anymore that I used to have but I still have the exact same passion."

The full interview from which these intimations lifted is available in the above YouTube upload, or on the Oculus Go, Rift and Gear VR channels, if you'd like to add a dimension or two, to your viewing experience. You're never too young Mr. Mathers.
