E-40 is all about bridging the gap between the younger generation of rap and the older. Today the Bay Area OG gives his co-sign to one of the most exciting voices coming up out of the Bay currently, Kamaiyah. Kamaiyah has already made quite the name for herself off the strength of her debut mixtape, A Good Night in the Ghetto, which is a feat in and of itself. From there she received a dope look with an appearance on YG's Still Brazy single "Why You Always Hatin" with Drake.

She provides the second verse for E-40 on "Petty," over minimalist but still hyphy production. The song serves as the first single from E-40's upcoming double release, The D-Boy Diary: Book 1 & 2, due out in November.

If you missed it, check out our interview with Kamaiyah here.

Quotable Lyrics

I guess I'm the one that they hate now
You bitches is played out
I bet you ain't got shit to say now
You bitches is spaced out
I made my own way out the Bay now
So my crib is way out
You bitches still riding the Greyhound
I pull up and race now
