The People's Champ dominated the box office this year.
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson earned an estimated $64.5 million this year making him the highest paid actor for 2016.
The People's champ more than doubled his earning from 2015, which was just enough to edge out Jackie Chan for the top spot. Yes, Jackie Chan. His movies in China earned him a cool $61 million this year.
According to Forbes, the Rock's millions (aaand Millions!) came from upfront fees for movies including Central Intelligence and Fast 8, as well as the upcoming Baywatch film.
Matt Damon ($55M), Tom Cruise ($53M) and Johnny Depp ($48M) round out the Top-5 highest paid male actors.
The world's highest paid actress for the year was Jennifer Lawrence who raked in $46 million, nearly $20 million less than the former WWE world champ but still a nice payday nonetheless.
The Rock's title reign at the box office should continue deep into the future as he's already set to star in the new Jumanji movie, Doc Savage, Rampage, San Andreas 2 and much more.
