Duru Tha King Songs

  • SoHo
The last time we heard from North Carolina's Duru Tha King, he linked up with Scotty ATL to give us the track "#Nomadic," and now he's back with "SoHo." Speaking with The Fader, Duru described the track:
  • #Nomadic
Duru Tha King is doing big things outta Charlotte, NC and for his latest track, "#Nomadic", he hooks up with buzzing Atlanta rapper Scotty ATL. The track focuses on the "Nomadic" lifestyle both Duru and Scotty have had to adapt to since becoming young hustlers in the game. They're always moving, never comfortable, always ready for what this cold world has to throw at them.  This is a major step forward for both Duru and Scotty who boast real lyrical maturity on this heavily visceral production from Detroit's Joe Hodges.
  • Corrupted
It's been a minute since we've heard from either of these North Carolina rappers, but Duru Tha King returns today with Deniro Farrar in tow. The two frequent collaborators go in over typically dark and moody production from Joe Hodges. "Corrupted" serves more as a cautionary tale about their lifestyle, rather than an attempt to glamorize their lifestyle (the latter of which is more often than not the route most rappers go).
  • SET
Last week, NC spitters Duru Tha King and Deniro Farrar linked up on a track called "New Charlotte" that served to introduce the outside world to their hometown scene. After that scene-defining statement, the pair return with "SET," a new track produced by James Worthy.
  • We That Generation
    We That Generation
After hitting us with the track "Fast Livin" a couple months ago, Charlotte’s own DuRu Tha King and Deniro Farrar team up for a "bass-heavy, lean-dripping" new single titled "We That Generation", with production having been handled by Shipmates.
