Drake's VIEWS has officially been certified double platinum by the RIAA.
It only took the album one week to sell one million records. It took six weeks to sell two million.
Drake's domination of the charts is been absolute. As he happily pointed out on Instagram, "One Dance" has now spent five consecutive weeks at #1 and VIEWS has spent six. In its sixth week at #1, VIEWS moved 135,000 sales plus streams, nearly twice as many as the second most-sold album, Beyonce's Lemonade.
One of the reasons for VIEWS' continual dominance is its popularity on streaming platforms. The album recently passed the 1 billion-stream benchmark.
Congrats to Drake. Next up: triple platinum.
