Drake tweets, the world reacts.
Lil Wayne and the Young Money family have mentioned the fifth instalment of Weezy's Carter series over the past year, with the most recent mention occurring in the Dedication V mixtape. While we've received news of a new Young Money compilation album since that time, Young Money: Rise Of An Empire, there has been no word or updates on Carter V.
So when Drizzy tweeted simply "CARTER V" late last night, it got the whole Twitterverse up in arms, as they attempted to decode the one-word tweet. Drake isn't the most prolific Tweeter, and he didn't help to clarify what he meant by the single tweet. Is he currently working on Weezy's new album? Was he in the studio with Tunechi last night?
Only time will tell. Let's hope some updates on the album arrive soon. We last heard from Wayne on the street single released for the YM album, "We Alright", which you can listen to here. Young Money: Rise Of An Empire is slated for release on March 11th.
