Kennedy Brown, a 15-year-old student at Carnegie Vanguard High got a pretty big surprise this weekend. The teenager, who has been battling a form of terminal brain cancer, was recently the subject of a hashtag campaign, #DrakeForKen, set up by the students at her high school, encouraging the rapper to pay her a visit.
“We would ask all of your viewers to [Tweet] #DrakeForKen so we can get him to come see her or send something for her because that would mean the world to her,” shared a classmate.
Apparently, Drake did get word of the rally, as he surprised Brown in her hometown of Houston this weekend.
Documenting the encounter on Instagram, Drizzy captioned his posts “Me and this beautiful angel Kennedy #kenfordrake,” later revealing that Kennedy requested to touch his famous eyebrows-- which he presented willingly. “She asked to touch the brows #accessgranted,” he wrote.
Kennedy's classmates have also made an effort to throw an early prom in her honor. “We realized we need to do this for her so that she can get this experience that we’re all going to get,” said an organizer.
