Drake has postponed three more tour dates "on doctor's orders."
One week after postponing shows in Toronto, Philadelphia, & Newark due to an ankle injury, Drake has been forced to postpone the remainder of his Summer Sixteen tour "on doctor's orders." This update affects two shows scheduled this week in Brooklyn and a third date in Newark this weekend.
Here is the statement from a Drake rep:
Drake suffered a severe ankle injury during the tour which he did his best to power through. By doing this, he made his injury worse. Under doctors orders and to ensure Drake only ever gives fans the performances they deserve, he will be postponing the remaining 3 dates of his Summer Sixteen tour to allow him time to recuperate his ankle injury. Drake's fans mean the world to him. Seeing their faces and performing his music for them is what he loves to do the most and he can't wait to get back on stage.
Drake and Future have performed over 50 shows thus far as a part of the Summer Sixteen tour. The postponement announcement comes less than 24 hours after Drake unveiled a European tour that will begin in January 2017.
