Drake is outfitting his new Toronto-area mansion with an NBA-sized basketball court. The move makes his home that much more amenable to his friends in the league. Let's put that in perspective: Drake has 15,000 square feet to disseminate in his basement alone. An NBA basketball court only requires 4,700 square feet of surface area, less than one/third of the distributable space.

According to TMZ, the plan is to suspend a spa, snack lounge and spa area (pool and hot tub) above the basketball court. Everything so far has been authorized by building inspectors working for the city. Check out this video reel of the construction phase and tell me what you think?

The vertical layout appears to be just as extravagant as the basement half. There Drake has instructed builders to set aside yet another hot tub, the centerpiece of a rooftop terrace, flanked by yet another leisure suite. An adjacent swimming pool lines up next to the building, with massive projection screens, positioned around the contour, to create an atmosphere of "entertainment and hospitality."

The mansion will also house a wine and champagne bar, a home theater, a recording studio, and get this: a room solely dedicated to his "awards." By the looks of it, Drake is going to be spending a lot more time in the 6ix, especially with the NBA regular season less than a month away.
