As they say, real recognize real. Such has continuously proven accurate, especially when it comes to legendary figures in hip-hop. Now, two forces collide as Dr. Dre and Q-Tip engage in a meeting of the minds. Dre commemorated the occasion with a rare IG post, in which he and the Tribe Called Quest icon stand side by side. If that weren't enough, both Dre and Tip are holding two albums apiece, all of which live up to Dre's "classics" caption.

In Tip's hands, he holds Dre's The Chronic and 2001, both of which are regarded alongside some of hip-hop's strongest albums. In Dre's hands, he's got two seminal Tribe records, Low End Theory & Midnight Marauders, which served to pave the way during a truly formative era. Above them sits Public Enemy's It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back. Clearly, this is one for the scholars of the game, not unlike Nas & Slick Rick's recent reunion

Salute to the legends. For anyone looking for a bit of hip-hop trivia, sound off: can you name an occasion when Dr. Dre and Q-Tip joined forces on the same track?
