5-time Grammy Award winner Donna Summer died this morning after battling with lung cancer.
Donna Summer, aka the Queen of Disco, passed away today at the age of 63.
TMZ reports that Summer was suffering from lung cancer and trying to keep it quiet. She died from lung cancer this morning in Florida.
Her family released a statement following Summer's passing this morning, saying they "are at peace celebrating her extraordinary life and her continued legacy."
Donna Summer rose to prominence in the '70s with her hits "Last Dance," "Hot Stuff" and "Bad Girls."
