Donald Glover has joined the cast of upcoming film "Spider-Man: Homecoming," reports The Hollywood Reporter. No word yet regarding Glover's character. Tom Holland will make his debut as Spiderman. Michael Keaton has signed on to play the villain, Marisa Tomei will play Aunt May, and Zendaya will play the female lead and Spiderman's likely love interest. Robert Downey, Jr. and The Avengers will make a cameo in the film as well.

Glover briefly voiced Spiderman in the animated Disney series "Ultimate Spider-Man: Web Warriors." Production for "Spider-Man: Homecoming" begins later this month in Glover's hometown of Atlanta. The film is currently scheduled to hit theaters on July 7, 2017.
