Back in May, after nearly three years in prison, the Freebandz-signed rapper known as Doe Boy returned to his hometown of Cleveland, right when another young talent, Ripp Flamez, was starting to heat up the city. The next month, after the Cavs took the ship, they teamed up and dropped "Lifestyle," which remains among the best work that either artist has put forth this summer.
Doe Boy snaps on the verses, supplying the adrenaline, while Ripp Flamez lends an air of calmness to the track, suspending the trap energy with his expertly sung hook. The silky smooth trap production comes courtesy of Mitch Mula. Cleveland is lucky to have these guys rocking together.
