Joey Bada$$ and Dessy Hinds rap over LL Cool J's "Ill Bomb".

Pro Era have been known to favor 90s-leaning sounds, but their latest freestyle finds them taking on an instrumental from the 00s (well, 2000, which is only a year removed from the title of Joey's breakthrough mixtape title, but small steps!). "Ill Bomb" was a highlight from LL Cool J's 8th studio album, G.O.A.T., and was produced by DJ Scratch. Joey and Dessy Hinds sound right at home on the instrumental, bringing it into 2k15 with the help of DJ RellyRell.

With news that Joey has been working with Metro Boomin recently breaking, we might be looking at a new phase in the rapper's career approaching. This could potentially be the last boom bap record we hear from him in a minute (but we kinda doubt that).

Quotable Lyrics:
I'll see ya next time I'm out in the capital
For now, it's back to the murder capital
Where they murk you after school
And leave your brains on the avenue
Expect you to change
'Cause the president as black as you
