DJ Kay Slay used the summer to plot his takeover. Since July, he's been dropping some contending songs for posse-cut of the year. Last week, we seen "Cold Summer" surface featuring Kendrick Lamar, Kevin Gates, Mac Miller and Rell. Before that, he eased people in with "Wild Ones" featuring 2 Chainz and Rick Ross. As we await his upcoming album Big Brother, he grabs The Game, Busta Rhymes and Tech N9ne for "Jealousy."
The three rappers link up for another joint for the heads, as you could only assume. The three rappers are staples in hip hop whether you like it or not and they prove exactly why on this song. There is no doubt that over the course of their career they've faced much jealousy by some of their peers, so when Kay Slay gave them the opportunity to vent, you best believe they did. While the hook goes without credit, it has a powerful ragga touch to it that makes the song boom even further once it drops.
DJ Kay Slay's summer run has been dope thusfar and we've been getting some great posse-cuts from him. While the album was rumored to come out on August 8th earlier in the summer, it is now slated to be released on September 23rd. As you could tell by the singles he's been dropping, the tracklist has some equally insane features as well. While for someone like DJ Khaled, his albums usually consist of the current big names in hip hop but Kay Slay is clearly doing something for the heads. It's an album that's definitely going to be worth the wait especially if you've been looking for more bar heavy music. Kay Slay recruits some of the best from the old school and new with the likes of Ice-T, Kool G Rap, Dave East and many more on the album.
