DJ Drama says fans should be hyped for what Lil Wayne has in store for "Dedication 4" and drops hints at a major collabo on the tape.
Lil Wayne recently said that rapping is taking a sort of “back seat” to skateboarding in his priorities these days, but in a recent interview with the LA Leakers, DJ Drama said Weezy is in a comfortable spot as an emcee and fans should expect to hear Wayne push himself on their upcoming collabo Dedication 4 mixtape.
Drama said that although Wayne is comfortable, that his competitive edge is shining through, and the DJ is excited to see what Carter has in store for his fans on the forthcoming mixtape (from HipHopDX), “I'm expecting greatness…I think Wayne is in a space where he's comfortable, but at the same time where he's very competitive, even with himself and his work before. I think Dedication means a lot to him, as it does to me, so I really expect top quality bars from Mixtape Weezy."
Drake’s OVO Festival was this past weekend, and the Toronto emcee brought out a slew of big name surprise guests. Now, DJ Drama dropped a clue for fans, that one of those big names will be collaborating with Lil Wayne on Dedication 4, “I'ma tell you this: I went to the OVO Festival the other day…the Drake concert in Toronto, he has it every year, lots of special guests. Rick Ross was there, Meek Mill was there, Nicki Minaj was there, Snoop was there, The Weeknd was there, A$AP Rocky was there…I did have a conversation with somebody that was there, and they did confirm they will be on Dedication 4. There's a lot of names, so it's on you."
