Dizzy Wright is getting ready to release his second full-length for Funk Volume, The Growing Process, next week, and today he's shared a brand new record on Sway In The Morning. "Daddy Daughter Relationship" isn't your typical radio track, featuring a very mellow boom bap beat as Dizzy creates a loving ode to his daughter.
Between the darting verses, Wright breaks out some melodies on the chorus, as a twinkling synth line enters the equation. Quickly, something that didn't initially sound like an accessible song reveals an underlying catchiness. Look out for the rest of the project May 26th.
