Dizzee Rascal's latest release came out this week. Don't Gas Me is a five-track project that boasts a variety of vibes while staying true to the artist's grime roots. Dizzee qualifies the offering as being closest to his "original stuff."
Skepta, P Money and C Cane are all part of the new jams. Dizzee commented on how positive working his collaborators has been for him.
"It's amazing how easily I clicked with these people. I just get on with them. Maybe it's because we're older now. Maybe it would've been different 15 years ago [...] They just give me a sense of pride as well [...] They just make me happy about the way I grew up. We share the same weather, the hood history across London, across the UK."
More music is likely on the way since the artist already has more tracks stashed away for the future.
"To be fair, I probably would've made a whole album I didn't want to miss this summer. 5 banging tracks that are all completely different [...] You kids getting the whole me."
The extended play comes as a follow up to his studio album entitled Raskit, which dropped last year.
