Diplo isn't impressed.
Diplo has started a Twitter spat with the unlikeliest of adversaries: American breakfast staple Denny's.
The DJ/producer used the social media platform to chastise the restaurant chain over their lack of creativity when it comes to meme utilization, especially when it comes to something his record company, Mad Decent, pushed out not long ago.
denny's go ahead and recycle all the old internet jokes you want to sell your disgusting food but stay away from my record label. https://t.co/foa3nIyTY5— Diplo (@_diplo_) July 31, 2017
Denny's was quick to apologize, but Diplo wasn't letting them off the hook that easy.
sorry we tweeted a picture of you without your permission, dilpo :( https://t.co/Ax4zsU6w3U— Denny's (@DennysDiner) August 1, 2017
it's making me cringe so hard imagining a room of the ad agency guys running this account high fiving eachother over this terrible comeback— Diplo (@_diplo_) August 1, 2017
Finally, using some self-deprecating humor, the restaurant's Twitter account offered to send Diplo a personalized gift. Let's just hope they get his egg order just right, or else who knows what kind of Twitter mayhem that will spark.
aw no hard feelings dilpo, please DM us an address we can send a personalized gift to ;) pic.twitter.com/so0xSlLhvF— Denny's (@DennysDiner) August 1, 2017
