Diddy will host and participate in several events surrounding next week's Wrestlemania 29 in New York and New Jersey
Diddy just topped Forbes' list of wealthiest rappers once again, but shows no signs of slowing down. The Bad Boy mogul continues to increase his brand, with the announcement that he will be hosting WrestleMania 29 next week.
While we've seen WrestleMania take on cities such as Miami, Houston, Orlando and Phoenix, this year the event will be split between New Jersey and Puff's hometown of New York. Diddy will participate in a number of events, and be joined by celebrities such as The Rock, Arnold Schwarzenegger, “Extra” co-host Maria Menounos and Donald Trump.
On top of hosting, Combs will also serve as a musical act, and will perform his Diddy-Dirty Money song "Coming Home" to a crowd of nearly 90,000 inside New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium on April 7.
The song will be played throughout WrestleMania, serving as the official theme song for the event.
Diddy will also take part in the related “Superstars for Sandy Relief” party on April 4th with WWE chairman/ CEO Vince McMahon and NYC mayor Michael Bloomberg.
The benefit will see appearances by Sting, Michael J. Fox, Charlie Sheen, Tony Hawk, Coldplay’s Chris Martin, Carl Edwards, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Mark Cuban, Carrie Underwood and Adrian Grenier
Diddy voiced his excitement for the opportunity, saying, “I’ve always been a fan of WWE and I’m excited to support these two important causes.”
