Diddy is perhaps more esteemed as a businessman than he is as a musician, but he proved yesterday that, at the age of 46, he still understands how to make a hot record -- and that he knows how to keep the right company to help him do so. MMM was Diddy's first release since last summer's ill-advised 11 11, a collaborative album with house producer Guy Gerber. Before that, it was Last Train to Paris, which he, Dawn Richard, and Kalenna Harper, as Diddy - Dirty Money, released in 2010.
Right now, Diddy's discography is defined by his collabs with Biggie, Mase, and other elite New York artists in the late '90s, but Last Train to Paris should rank high in his catalog, and it shows off an innovative sound that, unfortunately, wasn't fully explored, as the trio split up shortly after the release of their first and only album. One of the gems that didn't get enough attention the first time around is "Loving You No More," featuring Drake. Diddy and Drizzy have had an entertaining relationship since the collab, but as Diddy has declared Drake as his current favorite, hopefully they'll unite for another piece of experimental R&B on No Way Out 2.
