Diddy charged with 5 counts for assaulting UCLA football coach Sal Alosi.
Diddy was charged with three counts of assault with deadly weapon, one count of making terrorist threats, and one count of battery after his altercation with UCLA football coach Sal Alosi yesterday, reports Sportscenter.
Diddy was in attendance at a UCLA football spring strength and conditioning session to support his son, defensive back Justin Combs, when Alosi verbally tore into the younger Combs.
"I don't care if your dad's here. This is UCLA. I'm going to treat you just like I treat everyone else," Alosi said according to TMZ.
Diddy and his son reportedly confronted Alosi in his office following the practice. The details of the altercation remain undisclosed but Diddy ended up in custody at a UCLA campus jail with 50 Cent lampooning him on social media.
UPDATE: 6/23 6:00 PM:
Diddy's camp has released a statement, ESPN reports: "The various accounts of the event and charges that are being reported are wholly inaccurate. What we can say now is that any actions taken by Mr. Combs were solely defensive in nature to protect himself and his son."
According to a UCLA statement, Diddy was arrested for "an alleged assault involving a weight-room kettlebell."
According to TMZ, Justin Combs released a statement of his own: ”I thank God for having a father that’s always there for me.. Love you pops!”
Diddy made bail Monday evening.
