Dezert Eez make their HNHH debut.

Dezert Eez make their HNHH debut with "Riot Gear," a revolution-minded new single featuring Dead Prez. Consisting of 5-Star, O’Nill, and Nivek, Dezert Eez has been making noise in Detroit's underground for years. The group's debut mixtape The Realness was widely acclaimed, earning the trio opening act status for the likes of KRS-1, Dead Prez, and Slum Village, plus a short tour with Wu Tang Clan’s Inspectah Deck. In 2009, their debut album GhettoBox was released under the Universal imprint. In other words, they've been around the block for a minute now, and "Riot Gear" sounds appropriately veteran.

Feelin' this one? Be on the lookout for Magnificent Swords and Fly Jewelz, coming this fall.

Quotable Lyrics:

Whole generation in the penitentiary
Black blood leaking like broken capillaries
Rappers not speaking the people's vocabulary
I choose to be a voice of change to fill a void
Cut through the white noise
Build and destroy
