Whatever your musical preferences are, there's no arguing that you've heard "Despacito" or the Justin Bieber remix of it at least once. The track is undoubtedly the biggest song of the year, and now, it's way more than that.

According to Billboard, the runaway hit single is now the most streamed song of all time across all platforms, amassing more than 4.6 billion streams in the process. Oh yeah - and it got there in just six months.

The song has surpassed the previous record holder, Bieber's hit "Sorry," which is now in second place by over 200 million plays. Luis Fonsi commented that "streaming is a connector for audiences worldwide and it has helped my music reach every corner of the planet. It is truly an honor that 'Despacito' is now the most streamed song in history."
