Where has Derin Falana been? The Brampton talent has only released a pair of songs since he put out his Live From Rocky Mountain mixtape last April.
The answer: cooking up more heat. Falana returns today with a new track called "Live From Hollowgrove." Jahmal Glittens (who produced Falana's superb "West") integrates roiling hi-hats, contemplative piano, and girthy bass hits to form what turns out to be a groovy backdrop for Falana's characteristically fiery flow. The hunger is palpable in his voice. He knows the world is his for the taking.
