Derek Wise makes his HNHH debut with "LAKE."

Derek Wise is a member of the Toronto-based crew Get Home Safe, who all made a cameo in The Weeknd's "King Of The Fall" video, in which Abel Tesfaye took us on a virtual tour of his hometown. In his music, Wise mines similar, blue-hued territory as his fellow Torontonians Tesfaye, PARTYNEXTDOOR and Tory Lanez, but with a much darker edge. If Toronto's currently making the coldest-sounding music in hip-hop, Derek Wise is the sharp icicle hanging off a roof, just waiting to impale you.

His new track "LAKE" is produced by Geoff Wood, Michael Lantz and ChristoMeth, and it follows dope offerings such as "KENZO" and "AWKWARD" from the upcoming project Mom's Basement.

Quotable Lyrics

Why these fuck niggas in my dialog?
I should call my niggas with the firearm
Busy gettin' paper so I'm out on 'em
Motherfucker sit quiet or I'm firin' on 'em
