Denzel Curry can definitely get turnt, on record and in concert, but "This Life" is among his softer records, not only in sound but in content. Although his music is made for moshing, and often that's what happens at his live shows, "This Life" is more of a slow-moving ballad-like rap cut about a relationship.
The song lives on Curry's acclaimed release Imperial. The visual shows a cute couple doing cute couple shit, before tension starts to build up and the fighting starts, leading to a lapse in the relationship when the girl calls up another man. Check out the music video.
