The Canadian jazz outfit BadBadNotGood has collaborated with hip hop artists from Ghostface Killah to Tyler, the Creator. Their latest: a re-imagination of Denzel Curry's "Ultimate" and "Sick and Tired." BBNG and Curry recently hit the studio together to record the pair of tracks.
BBNG do well to recreate the energy and urgency of Ronny J's apocalyptic production on "Ultimate." Similarly, the "Sick & Tired" rework showcases and still stays true to the original recording.
Curry and BBNG don't have a ton of overlap as far as fan base, but they have enough chemistry that a joint tour would be undeniably lit.
I am the one, don't weigh a ton
Don't need a gun to get respect up on the street
Under the sun, the bastard son
Will pop the Glock to feed himself and family
