Denzel Curry's versatility is one of his sharpest assets. Not only can he obliterate a distorted, hype-inducing banger, but he can also slow it down and get melodic if the occasion calls for it. And like any self-respecting emcee, he can spit bars with the best of them. Today, he's here to showcase that particular part of his toolkit, setting off his brand new drop "IM JUST SAYIN THO" with a confident declaration: "I'ma go hard on this."

Taking to a nostalgic and soulful sample, Curry sets it off with a barrage of reference-laden lyrics; somehow, he's able to segue mentions of Rugrats to somber reflections on his dead friends. "With the way the industry ran, you have to have a fuckin' death wish," he spits. "Just to get views or to be viewed as a legend / but call a n***a corny when you hear he got a message." After he whips himself into a passionate fervor, Tommy Swisher comes through to pick up the torch, matching Zeltron's intensity with a solid barrage of his own.

"Just because we need music and happiness at a time like this," writes Denzel, introducing his latest release to the world. "Enjoy. I love you." You heard the man.

QUOTABLE LYRICS

Should I be a Buddhist, Jehovah's Witness or Christian?
Satan's out to question
With the way the industry ran you gotta have a fuckin' death wish
Just to get views or to be viewed as a legend
But call a n***a corny when you hear he got a message
Damn, I know a n***a preachin' like a reverend
My head is out the box like seven
