“This is for the girls that don’t need no makeup when they wake up,” DeJ Loaf sings on her confidence-boosting single. “So many things in this world I don’t understand / I won’t judge who you love or your brown skin.” Just yesterday the Detroit bred artist teased her and Leon Bridges' collaboration and today they are here to drop off the full video for the release.
In just under four-minutes we see a bevy of people from different walks of life and the LGBTQ spectrum all explaining their definitions of "Liberation." Dej and Leon make their respective appearances in the Anderson .Paak and Khalid directed video with colorful backdrops complimenting the artist's flashy apparel. The song is DeJ's “ favorite record of her career" and comes off her upcoming debut album.
