Deebzlenuz also known as Dominic O. Lee is an ambitious upcoming artist with a voice that transcends genres and calls to the future. Influenced by Bob Marley, Gregory Isaac, Dennis Brown and Peter Tosh, his music represents the beat of his heart, the race of his pulse, his life. In short, Deebzlenuz is a force to be reckoned with.
Deebzlenuz was born on the small Caribbean Island of Montserrat located near Antigua and Barbuda. He grew up in the West Indies and was inspired by the emerging West African sounds of Calypso, Soca and Reggae. “Music was our lives,” he says, “it represented our thoughts and gave us a voice in the community to express ourselves.” At a young age he determined that he would take music to a level it has never been taken before.
After he wrote his first song his life changed forever; he has written and recorded over three hundred songs to date. Many of Deebzlenuz days and nights are spent in the studio perfecting his craft. Deebzlenuz was awarded the Holla Back Music Video Awards Reggae Artist of the year 2007 held in the state of Connecticut. Winning this award only helped to further confirm that the long hours spent in the studio were paying off.
